Request a password by email using KYVL's password request form. To use this service, you must provide an email address associated with a member library, such as your college, university, school, or government agency.
Additional information for specific user groups appears below.
Most institutions of higher education in Kentucky link to KYVL databases through their library web pages, allowing students, faculty and staff to log in off campus using institutional login credentials.
Access is also available directly from www.kyvl.org. Please contact the library at your academic institution for your institution's username and password or complete KYVL's password request form using an email address associated with a participating institution, such as firstname.lastname@example.org.
During the school year, students and educators associated with participating K12 schools can get a username and password from their school librarian or library staff. This login can be used all year, including during summer break.
If you need to request a password when school is not in session, contact your participating local public library or complete KYVL's password request form using an email address associated with a participating Kentucky school, such as email@example.com.
State government employees who contact KYVL directly from a qualifying state government email address, such as firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org, etc., may request a username and password by email.
You may also submit a request through KYVL's password request form using a qualifying state government email address.
If you are unable to obtain login information from your home library, KYVL can provide login information through our password request form to an email address associated with a participating library. Please note that KYVL usernames and passwords cannot be sent to an unverifiable email address and KYVL staff cannot give out login information over the phone.
