Encyclopedia Brittanica

Britannica Online School Edition, the 2007-2008 Teachers Choice Award winner for online reference databases, has added the Britannica Learning Zone, a PreK-2 interactive digital learning environment, to compliment the three existing levels of content for elementary, middle, and high school students.

In addition to the reference databases, Educators now have instant access to Kentucky Student Performance Standards and benchmarks through supporting online articles in Encyclopaedia Britannica, Compton's by Britannica and Britannica Elementary Encyclopedia. In addition to References, BOLSE offers 100's of interactive Learning Materials aligned to Kentucky Student Performance Standards, and a rich collection of multimedia including over 27,000 graphics, 3,300 animations, audio clips and videos both short and long.

The Academic Britannica Online Edition is geared to university and college needs, providing constant updates to Encylopaedia Britannica enhanced by news headlines and current magazines.

The rich World Data Analyst provides demographic information from the most recent census of each country.

Including a new feature, Gateway to the Classics, this is a robust database.

The Britannica Online Public Library Edition provides two products in one. Choose Britannica Kids or Britannica Reference Center, created for high school students through adults.
