1.    Tim Chase & Tricia Davis are the newest members of the KYVL-ADA workgroup.   Tim Chase is the new Senior Reference Librarian at KYVL.  Tricia Davis is the Grants and Projects Director at the Center for Deafness at EKU.  Bobbie Beth Scoggins is no longer a member of the ADA workgroup.

2.    The group looked at the KYVL mock-up pages.  These pages are comprised of content that has been copied from the current KYVL pages and placed into an accessible format.  Feature of these pages include access keys, alternative style sheets, keyboard friendly menus.  The focus is on the separation of style & content and meeting the requirements of section 508.

3.    The group discussed usability testing for the pages.  We need to identify groups of people who require the use of assistive technologies to test the pages for navigability.

4.    Enid questioned whether or not several of the groups on the list compiled at the meeting would be appropriate for testing, namely KLA, KSLA, and KSM.  Jenny Tyree also suggested that we not contact Dr. John Musick because he would likely refer us back to Jenny.  The workgroup agreed not to make these contacts.

b.    The link on the How to Reach Us page needs to changed from SHTML to HTM.

c.    Remove the links to KVU & KVHS from the bottom of the style sheets so testers will not get mistakenly redirected to the actual pages.

d.    Point the test version of access key 1 to the mock-up page, not the live KYVL page.

e.    On the accessibility page, under alt styles, the ADA styles link is broken.  HTML needs to be changed to HTM.

f.     Need to add access key #8.

g.    Tim Chase will run a link checker & for all 404 pages and put a statement on each page that it is not part of the usability test.
