Discussion about using the tutorial that Paula is building as The Tutorial.
The content for the Tutorial that Paula is currently building is almost identical to the one that currently exists in Eduprise. Why should we maintain two tutorials? Can we use the one that Paula is creating to replace the tutorial as it exists now in Eduprise. If we do this we will need to build quizzes and some support information for teachers and librarians who are guiding their students through it.
The group decided that this was a good idea but that we wanted to see Paula's to be sure that it would work as a replacement.
KYVL will still need to maintain tutorial content in Prometheus for use in KYVU 101 and for use by VU faculty within their courses.

The group discussed ways of promoting the tutorial and it move into ways of promoting information literacy.

One of the ideas that came out was a video that would be well scripted and would discuss how to conduct research with examples from the virtual library. The group envisioned partnering with KET on this but wondered about cost. And if such a thing had been created before. Members will look into their own collections to see what videos they have and look through listservs to see what has been discussed. We also discussed putting it on CDs to distribute.
