Reporting Structure

The Kentucky Higher Education Improvement Act of 1997 mandates the creation of the Kentucky Virtual University (KYVU) to help students overcome time and distance barriers by providing anywhere, anytime learning.

The Kentucky Virtual Library (KYVL)
reports to the Kentucky Virtual University
which reports to the Council on Postsecondary Education.

Committee Structure

The Virtual Library Advisory Committee (VLAC) advises the Kentucky Virtual Library on policies and programs that are needed to improve information services to KYVU and Kentucky citizens at large.

There are currently twelve work groups that advise on specific aspects of KYVL.

Staff

There are 2.5 full-time staff working at the Kentucky Virtual Library.
