In his spare time, Philip publishes Northern Kentucky University library's Information for Everyone electronic newsletter (since 1996) and works as a volunteer librarian at the Cincinnati Museum Science Center Library.
He is also working on an on-line database (of issues) and searchable index for back and current issues of "Kentucky Epidemiologic Notes & Reports" issued by the Kentucky Department for Public Health.
