This section provides statistical information on Kentucky parks, recreational activities, and the tourist industry in the state.

National Park Service Public Use Statistics: The NPS Public Use Statistics gives detailed visitor information about National Park Service lands. They include statistical abstracts and information about recreation visits by state, visitor days by park, and overnight stays by park and by state.

National Survey of Fishing, Hunting, and Wildlife-Associated Recreation: This site presents data for individuals involved in fishing, hunting, and other wildlife-associated recreation, such as wildlife observation, photography, and feeding. Data includes number of trips taken, duration of trips; and expenditures for food, lodging, transportation, and equipment. (PDF format)
1997 Economic Census for Arts, Entertainment and Recreation: Detailed financial information by county and city for businesses in Kentucky engaged in recreation or entertainment from the 2002 Economic Census.
