The Search Results screen displays a list of records that match your search criteria. They are displayed in brief record format. The brief record format usually contains the author, title of article, date of publication, and title of magazine or journal. Items in red are hyperlinked. |

The full record format shows you all the information available for that item. It usually includes all of the information that was in the brief record plus the abstract, subject terms, and more.

Subjects are words that someone who has read the article assigns to the article. These words are taken from a limited (controlled) list of words. To search for other items similar to this one, click on one of the subjects. |

When you click the refine button you will see this screen. To refine this search from over 1000 records to less than 200, we can add the word "web" and search for it as a keyword, or we could add a specific author that we know has written on this subject, or a word from a title that we know about.
