Center
- The National Climatic Data Center is "the world's largest active archive
of weather data." The NCDC provides climate and ocean data which is "vital
to studies on global climate change, the greenhouse effect, and other environmental
issues."
- National Hurricane Center/Tropical Prediction
Center
- "The Center maintains a continuous watch on tropical cyclones over the
Atlantic, Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico, and the Eastern Pacific from May to
November. The Center prepares and distributes hurricane watches and warnings
for the general public, and also prepare and distributes marine and military
advisories for other users."

- The National Weather Service provides warnings and forecasts "of hazardous
weather, including thunderstorms, flooding, hurricanes, tornadoes, winter
weather, tsunamis, and climate events."
