Districts
- The fifteen Area Development Districts provide complete coverage for Kentucky's
120 counties. They serve as forums, clearinghouses, technical centers and
conveners for the region they serve. They also serve as a systematic linkage
between local leadership, the Governor's office, state and federal agencies,
and private organizations.

and Literacy
- This department provides services for adult education, including the GED,
workplace education, English as a Second Language, family literacy, and
education of the institutionalized.

Economic Development Information System - Community Information
- Produced in partnership with local economic development contacts and the
Division of Site Evaluation, the Economic Development Information System
provides current local economic development data on every major community
across the state in a continuously updated web-based format. Statistical
information presented includes community population, education, and employment
by major industry.

- This regulatory agency is concerned with all aspects of the employer-employee
relationship, including occupational safety and health, wage and hours,
child labor, and workers' compensation.
