Tanzi was selected by the faculty to receive the University of Kentucky's 2001
Melody Trosper Award for student excellence in scholarship, leadership, and
service. She was also selected by her peers to receive the 2001 LISSO Leadership
Award for leadership in the classroom and contributions to the education of
others.
Tanzi received the 3M/NMRT Professional Development Grant from the New Members Round Table of the American Library Association. The grant allowed her to attend the American Library Association annual comference in Atlanta.
