These pages are designed to help Kentucky's K-12 educators locate and evaluate quality web information resources for use with students in the classroom and to help identify resources and opportunities for professional development.
Web resources are organized based on the 7 core content subjects as established by the Kentucky Department of Education plus sections for English as a Second Language, General/Reference, and Professional Development resources. Use the blue sidebar on the left side of the page to navigate between subjects.
For more information about this project read the White Paper.
Teachers can also access the various databases accessible through KYVL from the blue sidebar.
Names of database vendors from whom we purchase access are listed in the sidebar. Clicking on the name of a vendor takes you to what is called the "native" interface. The native interface of a database is the interface provided by the vendor for searching and browsing for information. The native interface is different from the Web Z interface, the interface that you see when accessing the KYVL home page and clicking on Catalogs and Databases.
