How to Use KYVL - tutorial

FInding Books and Articles: Search History

Your search history is a record of the searches you have performed while working in the Kentucky Virtual Library. Your search history is active as long as the current KYVL session is running. This record of searches will not be permanently saved. It will disappear when you end your session (by exiting KYVL, closing the browser, or remaining idle for more than 10 minutes). To access you search history, click the Search History button located in the navigation bar.

From here you can review your previous searches and combine different search statements. You can re-execute a single search by checking a box and clicking "Go."

Search History Screen

To combine searches, place check marks in the boxes next to the searches that you choose, then use the drop down menu to choose the way you want to combine the statements. Choose ANY to see the combined results from all chosen searches. Choose ALL to see only the results that were included in all chosen searches.
