How to Do Research

Accurate information, current information, and appropriate information are valuable commodities. Be a discriminate consumer of information!

Don’t settle for less. If you are not confident that the information you have retrieved is the most appropriate for your purpose, ask a professional!

Your best information source is a librarian and your best access to the highest quality of information is a library. Librarians can help you locate the highest quality information for your research needs, including information that is both relevant, accurate, and reliable. Librarians can also help you locate this information quickly! Libraries have much more information than what is located on the World Wide Web; they provide access to a world of information that is not available on the Internet. Librarians can help you make the best use of all available information resources.

How will you know if you are settling for less? If you don’t consult a librarian or take advantage of the breadth and depth of resources provided by Kentucky libraries, you may be settling for less. Select the best - ask an information professional!
