- This database lets you find addresses of over 5000 international art galleries.
- ArtLex
- "You will find definitions of more than 2,800 terms here, along with numerous

resources on the Web." The author got his ` from the University of Chicago
and teaches art to elementary school students.
- ArtSource
- "Welcome to ArtSource, a gathering point for networked resources on Art
and Architecture. The content is diverse and includes pointers to resources

and art historians, etc. This site is intended to be selective, rather than

- At this site, you are able to view images of American architecture from
the 17th century through the 20th century. This is an excellent site to
see images of American architecture.
- Internet ArtResources
- Internet ArtResources provides access to galleries and museums online.
In addition, this site contains feature articles and reviews of art and
is searchable. This first class site is designed for everyone interested
in art.

- 1997 Survey of Public
Participation in the Arts: Summary Report
- This report describes the results of the 1997 Survey of Public Participation
in the Arts (SPPA). This survey data is primarily national but does include
data of selected states and metro areas. In addition to attendance at arts
activities and participation through broadcast and recorded media, the report
covers geographic and demographic differences in participation, arts socialization,
music preferences and other leisure activities as well as background information

- Still considered the one of the leading virtual Jazz spots with over one
million monthly readers, this website is totally for Jazz fans prepared
by Jazz fans. Educational and historical, yet it offers current and new
information and reviews. Timeless guide are provided such as Building a
Jazz Library. There is a Global Jazz section which offers reviews from around
the world and interviews with international musicians. A Jazz Bulletin board
provides a forum for enthusiasts to express and exchange opinions. Even
legal, free mp3 daily downloads are available. A Jazz Guide provides links

- The popular web database all about pop music, now brings pop and classical
together in a single site which includes everything one needs to know about

instrumental to opera, AMG's classical music data covers thousands of albums,
compositions, performances, and millions of artist credits. For each composer
or performer there is a thorough discography, including links to where the
artist's work has appeared with other performers. The site is searchable

- This site contains over 25,000 classical music reviews from 1983 to date.
The database is searchable by composer, album title, solo artist, orchestra/ensemble/chorus,
conductor, record company, catalogue number, reviewer or by free text search.
Also includes free podcasts of news, interviews, and music.
- LAPL's Song
Index
- Although this online Song Index was designed for finding popular songs
in books and sheet music anthologies in the Los Angeles Public Library collection,
these resources may also be found in your public or academic library. Searchable
by composer, lyricist, song title, or keyword, this index provides song
title, composer, lyricist, title of resources containing song, date song
was first published, and even the page numbers to locate the song in the
listed resources. Additional facts are listed in a note field about the
song such as singer most associated with song, show premiere, if instrumental
only, if popular more than one time period, etc. Great for popular music
fans and trivia buffs.

- MusicalOnline is a classical music directory for musicians, artists, managers,
scholars, and educators. It provides dozens of directory subject subheadings

and more. There is even a virtual concert hall for users to watch and listen

- This is one of the most comprehensive subject directories of both scholarly

- American Folklife Center Online Collections
- This site contains links to several important online folk music collections, including Omaha Indian music, frontier fiddle tunes, Depression-era folk tunes, and more. Each collection contains a large number of sound recordings, plus text information about the subject, individual track information, photographs and other materials. Audio software such as RealAudio is required for playing sound files; information and download links are provided.
- Archive of Folk Culture Collections
- The Archive functions as a repository for American folk music collections. It includes over one million photographs, manuscripts, audio recordings, and moving images. The site contains general information about the collections, finding aids for individual collections, (including one for Kentucky recordings), and lists of publications. Many of the unpublished recordings may be ordered for private use or for research.
- Archives of Appalachia
- This site is searchable by keyword and browsable by subject. Click on the Browse by Subject link and click on Music to view listings of music-related materials available in the archives. The archives contain extensive collections of audio recordings, as well as oral histories, interviews and photographs. Detailed finding aids and bibliographies are included. Many materials, including audio recordings, are available for loan or duplication. Contact information is provided for each collection.
- Ethnomusicology, Folk Music, and World Music
- This site contains comprehensive lists of important websites pertaining to American, British, European and non-European traditional music. - American Association of Community Theatre
- This nonprofit corporation serves both individuals and organizations by
providing expertise, assistance, and support for community theatres. This
website includes information about books and music, plays on video, events
and festivals, and play sources. Membership information and an application
are also available.
- American Society for Theatre Research
- ASTR was established in 1956 to provide an organization and public voice
for theatre scholars and to promote theatre as a field for serious scholarly
study and research. This site provides a variety of resources from around
the world.

Resource Webpage
- A site devoted to the support and advancement of quality children's theater,
it is intended for adults doing theater for children. Includes many useful

- Dramaturgy Pages
- This site is an extensive guide to how the Internet can be used for dramaturgy.
It includes an extensive index of resources for historians, databases of
play scripts (including public domain texts), links to other sites about
dramaturgy and general theater resources.

- This site is from the United States Institute for Theatre Technology,
which promotes all aspects of design and production in the performing arts.
This site is an attempt to provide an electronic archive to scenic, costume
and lighting designs. Indexed by title, playwright, designer and producer.
- New York Public Library
for the Performing Arts
- This library houses the world's most extensive combination of circulating,
reference, and rare archival collections in its field. The Research Collections
include dance, music, the Rodgers and Hammerstein Archives of Recorded Sound
and the Billy Rose Theatre Collection.
- Theatre Central
- Presented by Playbill Online, this site is billed as "the largest compendium
of theatre links on the Internet". Included is a search engine for names
and contact information of individuals in the business.
