Each LIBRARY lists thousands of books and resources on a computer called the LIBRARY CATALOG.

• Step 5: Report what you've learned
• These are special computers where you can search for information in various ways:
  • by SUBJECT (KEY WORD)
  • by AUTHOR'S NAME
  • or BOOK TITLE.
  • Sometimes, the list of books and articles will have a special number you must write down to help you locate the book. This is the CALL NUMBER.
  • Keep a pen and paper handy.
  • In the Library Catalog system, it's better to use GENERAL or plain words. Don't try to be too SPECIFIC.
  • Spacedog: Read the instructions carefully, and ask the librarian if you don't understand something.
