Ex Libris/Voyager consortium

KYVL's statewide integrated library system consortium, implemented in 1999, is used by all of the public postsecondary libraries, KCTCS, Kentucky Department for Library and Archives, Kentucky History Center, and seven other affiliate institutions and libraries that collectively house over 7 million volumes. ILS is an interface and database for purchasing, acquiring, processing, cataloging, lending, and tracking of books, journals, recorded media, digital media, and other information sources.

The statewide ILS consortium allows participating institutions to share knowledge, training, administration and hardware costs. The current system uses the Voyager ILS on a two-site hub model with servers at UK and UofL hosting 18 participants equally with nine at each site.

KYVL has organized the KYVL Voyager Consortium Workgroup to ensure Voyager's ongoing success.
